Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More)

Thirteen Hours by Air, the 1936 Mitchell Leisen airplane aviation murder mystery crime melodrama (about an airline pilot on a San Francisco to New York City flight, who makes a bet that he can take a beautiful woman to dinner after they land, but it turns out she is involved in murder and jewel robbery, so things get really complicated!) starring Fred MacMurray, Joan Bennett, Zasu Pitts, John Howard, Bennie Bartlett, Grace Bradley, Alan Baxter, Brian Donlevy, Ruth Donnelly, Fred Keating, and Adrienne Marden. Note that the title of the movie refers to the time of the transcontinental flight, which, in 1936, took 13 hours, and of course, in today's world is just a few hours! Also note that a major plot point in the movie concerned the air hostesses, who had to sign an agreement not to marry as a condition of accepting the job, and two of the actresses in the movie did not want to sign the agreement! We assume that no company in today's world can enforce such a clause, but the world was a very different place in 1936!
