Music From Outer Space, the 1978 music poster ("KMET 94.7 and Wolf & Rissmiller Concerts present the original Los Angeles Philharmonic Hollywood Bowl production of Music from Outer Space") promoting a concert to be held on April 1st in Anaheim Stadium in California, featuring the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra which was conducted by Zubin Mehta. The music included The Suite from Star Wars and Close Encounters (by John Williams), 2001: A Space Odyssey (Also Sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss), and The Planets (by Gustav Holst). Starting in 1978, this musical orchestra series toured the USA starting at the Hollywood Bowl in California. As the series progressed around the country, the local symphonies and conductors would perform music from several space/sci-fi themed suites. It was often billed as "The largest, most spectacular, multi-dimensional display ever presented, film, lasers and special effects synchronized by computerized, space age technology".

Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this poster, and it sold for $435! This example is in nicer condition that than previous one (surely because it comes to us from a dealer who acquired it right when the concert was held!).
