eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 3s0447 LOT OF 4 SCREEN ROMANCES MOVIE MAGAZINES 1930s filled with great images & articles! Date Sold 3/8/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 4 issues of Screen Romances, one of the many movie magazines sold to the public. Each issue features a great full color cover of a leading star of the day, plus condensed short "novelizations" of a group of then-currently playing movies (one would be longer and run as a "complete novel"; this began with the May 1936 issue, when they expanded the magazine). Each of the novelizations has lots of sepia images taken from the movie, plus portraits of some of the stars. Note that early in 1939, Screen Romances drastically lowered their price from 25 cents to 10 cents, and also lowered the page count by about 20%. Also note that at some point in the 1940s, they slightly changed the magazine's title to "Screen Romances Stories", but we are not sure for how long, and it reverted back to "Screen Romances". Note that the items in this lot are from the 1930s. Measurements: each measures approximately 9" x 12"Condition: good. Learn More about condition grades Titles included:
