An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (measures 14" x 22") (Learn More)

The Winning of Barbara Worth, the 1926 Henry King silent pioneer romantic melodrama ("Adapted by Frances Marion from the novel by Harold Bell Wright"; "The Book Thrilled Millions! The Picture will Enthrall Millions More"; "From the famous novel - by Harold Bell Wright"; about a man who dreams of irrigating the western desert so people can live there, and he has an adopted daughter and a handsome young man, who is the lead guy's right hand man, and he builds a dam that is intended to irrigate the desert, but it may break and flood the valley) starring Ronald Colman, Vilma Banky (in the title role as Barbara Worth), Charles Lane, Paul McAllister, E.J. Ratcliffe, Gary Cooper (in his first credited role; an important early role as the young man who has been Colman's right hand man for many years), and Clyde Cook. Note that Gary Cooper received sixth billing, and he is not billed or pictured on any of the posters, although he is pictured on some of the lobby cards. We got the order of billing from the program book, where is he solely billed and not pictured at all.

Condition: good. much dark staining over the image area (except for an area at top right); paint stains, nail holes, tears, and surface paper loss around the edges of the image, and to a lesser extent within the image

This window card is in "lesser" condition (it is clearly in less than "very good" condition, and may be all the way down to "fair" condition, as we are selling a collection of early window cards that were found inside of a wall, and those all have water stains and other defects, which should be easily seen on our large images)! This window card has clear defects, which are likely to be very noticeable in our "large" or "super-sized" images that you can click on from our small image at right. In addition, we have also noted in words what these defects are in our "Description of Defects" section above, as some of these defects may not be all that visible in the images. We know that some collectors could accept this window card's defects, and display it as is, and we also know that many collectors would only be happy with this window card if they had it restored, so please do not bid on it unless you can accept it as it is, or are willing to pay to have it properly restored. Of course, you should realize that if you do not bid on this window card because of its condition defects, it may be quite some time before you see this window card offered again!
