An Original Vintage Theatrical Jumbo Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 16" x 19" [41 x 48 cm]) (Learn More) Mary of Scotland, the 1936 John Ford historical Scottish royalty romantic biography melodrama ("History called her the 'Temptress'..."; "One of the greatest love stories of all time... brought to the screen by a marvelous cast of famous stars"; "From the play by Maxwell Anderson") starring Katharine Hepburn (in the title role as Mary, Queen of Scots), Fredric March, Florence Eldridge (as Queen Elizabeth I), Douglas Walton, John Carradine, "And A Tremendous Cast of Famous Stars" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: The card was found in the back of a frame where it had been used as a backing board for a picture (many framers in the 1930s would use window cards for this purpose, and they would trim them to the size of the frame, not caring that they were cutting into the image!). In this case, the trimming, which was to 16" x 19", affects the left and top of the card, and you can see what is missing by looking at our image. Since all of the title and much of the image remains, I would think many people could display this card as is, but please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored. Condition: fair. The card was trimmed to 16" x 19" . The portion of the card that is present has some faint smudging, but is otherwise in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
