Douglas was a minister and author from the 1910s to the 1950s. Some of his works include: An Affair Of the Heart, Green Light, and Disputed Passage. He passed away in 1951 at the age of 73. Important Added Info: Note that this book has been personally autographed (signed) by Lloyd C. Douglas! Included with the book is a letter from Mr. Douglas on his personal stationery that is entirely handwritten. It was written in 1938, before the book was printed, and it tells the recipient that he would gladly sign a book for her when it was ready. Obviously, the recipient held onto the letter and then put it into the book after she received it. So this auction is for both a signed book and a handwritten signed letter! Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads, and we also pictured the letter and envelope together. Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
