An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French Stage Show Daybill Poster (measures 15 3/4" x 47 1/4" [40 x 120 cm]) (Learn More) Les Spectacles Daniellis (literally translates to "The Daniellis Shows"), the circa 1930s French poster advertising a performance which included a puppet show, Harold the Illusionist, and William and His Performing Dogs, held at the Jardin d'Acclimations in Paris, France. Note that from the late 1800s through the 1930s, stage shows, circuses, and all sorts of other live performances would print long thin "daybills", which would be glued or attached to posts, telephone poles, etc. in a town they were about to play in. Most were torn down after the play dates, so few survive. We are totally guessing on the date for this poster, so if anyone knows more about when it is from or anything about it, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster had minor fold and border wear.
