An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) Dangerous Years, the 1948 Arthur Pierson juvenile delinquent kids crime thriller ("Story and Screenplay by Arnold Belgard") starring Billy Halop (billed as "William Halop"), Ann Todd (billed as "Ann E. Todd"), Scotty Beckett, Jerome Cowan, Richard Gaines, Anabel Shaw, and Marilyn Monroe (her very first movie, and she is unbilled on the posters, and only appears on the half-sheet, a scene card, and the title card!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a key book still that measures approximately 8" x 10". There are many key book stills that measure 8" x 11" and have punch holes in the extra 1", but this is one of the key book stills that measures 8" x 10" exactly, and has no punch holes, and it has a stamp on the back that reads "KEY SET". Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. Note that this still likely has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has the letters "TRR". One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that 146 of the stills in this set of auctions come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of almost his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! We said earlier "likely has", because while this collector stamped most of his stills, he did not stamp every one, so you can see for yourself if this is one of the stamped ones by looking at our image of the back of the still. Each of those stamped stills are stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us! Condition: very good. There are some tiny creases around the edges and a very tiny bit of paper loss in the lower right blank border. Otherwise, the still is in nice condition!
