An Autographed 1" x 2 1/2" Cut Album Page (Learn More)

Leo Carrillo was an actor from 1920s to the 1950s. He is best remembered for his role as Pancho in TV's "The Cisco Kid", and he seemed like a semi-literate Hispanic actor, but that was far from the truth! He was born in California and he came from a distinguished family there, and his father was the first mayor of Santa Monica! He was an educated man, and in his 30s, he started acting on the stage, with much success. After he starred in the play "Mister Antonio", Hollywood decided to make a film version, and they brought him over to play the lead in 1929, and it was his first feature! Some of his other movies include: History is Made at Night, Parachute Jumper, Manhattan Melodrama, Ghost Catchers, and many more! He passed away in 1961 at the age of 80.
Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Leo Carillo. It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Note that this item has been trimmed and it now measures 1" x 2 1/2" [3 x 6 cm].

This autograph (and others from this same collection we are offering in separate auctions) comes from the estate of Dorothy Credille, who was a Hollywood publicist in the 1930s to the 1950s. During the course of her work, she became personal friends and an acquaintance of all the top Hollywood stars, and she collected many autographs in an autograph book (as well as some signed 8x10s and 11x14s). Someone took the autograph book and cut out the individual autographs, and this is one of those autographs from that book. We feel certain that it is authentic.

Condition: good. There is much discoloration and it was once glued to something.
