2nd Liberty Loan, the 1917 U.S. World War I (WWI) War Bond poster ("'Shall we be more tender with our dollars than with the lives of our sons' - W.G. McAdoo Secretary of the Treasury"; "Buy a United States Government Bond of the 2nd Liberty Loan of 1917"). Note that this poster features Dan Sayre Groesbeck art of Uncle Sam gesturing towards troops, ships and planes with the Statue of Liberty in the background.

Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a excellent collection of eight World War I "war bonds" posters which we were consigned by someone who bought them many years ago and we are auctioning them in eight separate auctions!

Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has some creases around the edges and at top. There is a tear at lower center (next to smaller blank border tear) and someone years ago backed it with tape and attempted some minor restoration (in the "R" of "LIBERTY" - see our image). It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and it displays well!
