Frugal theater owners would get one of these posters and use it every time they showed a Tim McCoy movie (they could write the title in the blank area, or glue on a paper snipe getting many uses out of a single poster!). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the bottom crossfold and in the left of the bottom foldline, in McCoy's cheek. There were some creases and scuffs along the foldlines, with some smudges and scuffs scattered in the image. There were some pinholes, creases, and stains around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but at some point after it was backed, it acquired some brown dot stains in the excess linen, mostly in the bottom right corner. Learn More about condition grades
