A 1979 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Folded East German Movie Poster (measures 22 1/2" x 32") (Learn More)

Aleksandr Nevskiy (released in English-speaking countries as "Alexander Nevsky"), the classic 1938 Sergei M. Eisenstein Russian biographical historical 13th century medieval knight war action melodrama ("With original musical score by Prokofieff"; Eisenstein staged the battle sequences to match the wonderful Prokofieff music) starring Aleksandra Danilova, Nikolai Cherkasov (in the title role as Aleksandr Nevsky), Nikolai Okhlopkov, Andrei Abrikosov, and Dmitri Orlov. Note that this classic movie was first released in the U.S. in 1939, and then in just a few countries in the 1940s and then to the rest of the world over the 1950s and 1960s. Because virtually none of the posters are dated, it is very difficult to tell what is from the first release, but ANY first release posters for this classic movie are incredibly rare!
