An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 10 3/4" x 14" [27 x 36 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Rouben Mamoulian was a Russian director from the 1920s to the 1960s. Some of his movies include: Queen Christina, Becky Sharp, Golden Boy, The Mark of Zorro, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (the 1931 version). His masterpiece was Love Me Tonight, a musical with Jeanette MacDonald and Maurice Chevalier, which was like the best Ernst Lubitsch movies, but with great music added! He passed away in 1987 at the age of 90. Important Added Info: Note that this great 1932 vintage deluxe still has been personally autographed (signed) by Rouben Mamoulian! Note that our consignor purchased this signed still from the estate auction of Gene Andrewski, and the still is personalized to him from Mr. Mamoulian (and Mr. Andrewski did not correct Mr. Mamoulian for misspelling his last name!). Mr. Andrewski was a well known memorabilia collector and dealer who had many contacts with celebrities. Note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock and it has an embossed photographer's stamp in one of the bottom corners. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
