An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Portuguese Movie Poster (measures 20 1/2" x 27 1/4") (Learn More)

Grupo Gulbenkian de Bailado, the circa 1960s Portuguese singing and/or dancing poster. We have discovered that Calouste Gulbenkian was a super wealthy Armenian oil man who was instrumental in getting Middle Eastern oil to the West. He emigrated to Portugal in the middle of World War II, and when he passed away in 1955, he had a fortune estimated at around half a billion dollars! He had a staggeringly great art collection, which he donated to Portugal to be placed in the Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon, Portugal. Beyond that, we know absolutely nothing about this poster, and how it is connected to the Gulbenkian Museum, if at all, but it certainly has a really cool abstract image, and we imagine it served as the logo for this group. If anyone knows more about this poster or the group named on it, or anything at all about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: This Portuguese poster measures 20 1/2" x 27 1/4".

Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. There were some faint scuffs throughout the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well.
