An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) When a Woman Sins, the 1918 J. Gordon Edwards silent family relationship romantic love triangle melodrama ("The regeneration of a modern vampire"; "A Theda Bara Super Production"; "Story by Betta Breuil"; a wild story, typical of Theda Bara movies of this time; a divinity student goes home to visit his sick father, and he is cared for by a pretty young nurse; he witnesses the nurse dancing to music, which causes the old man to embrace her, whereupon he collapses and dies!; the son blames the nurse for his father's death, and she becomes a famous sexy dancer named "Poppea", and the son's cousin falls for her, and the son visits Poppea to beg her to leave his cousin alone, but the cousin sees them together and misunderstands, and then commits suicide; the son again blames her for the death, and she is even more disillusioned, and she has a party where there is an auction, and the highest bidder gets her for the night, but the son shows up with a bunch of lilies as his bid, and she accepts it, and they try to make a romance work) starring Theda Bara, Josef Swickard, Alan Roscoe, Al Fremont, and Jack Rollens. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: good to very good. There is smudging on the glass around the edges of the image (it is not very distracting, and it could likely be cleaned), and a lot of the black tape is missing. Learn More about condition grades
