An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) That Touch of Mink, the 1962 Delbert Mann New York City romantic comedy ("Adult sophisticated comedy!"; "The years most uproarious romantic free-for-all!"; "Insistence! Resistance! Persistence! Co-existence!"; about a rich playboy businessman and an old fashioned country girl, and they fall in love, but she wants marriage and a family, and he has other ideas) starring Cary Grant, Doris Day, Gig Young, Audrey Meadows, Dick Sargent, (with special guest appearances by the New York Yankees' baseball sports players) Roger Maris, Mickey Mantle, and Yogi Berra NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster was tri-folded only prior to linenbacking. There were couple of small tears and a smudge in the yellow background in the upper right corner of the image and a few light smudges in the bottom corner of the image in the yellow area. Otherwise, the poster was in really good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed (the restorer did not paint over the very minor defects, which I think was wise, as it leaves the poster unrestored) and it looks really great!
