What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had paper loss in Hepburn's nose, cheek, and the side of her mouth. It had a tear and small paper loss extending into her other cheek below her eye. It had a tear through the word "GEORGE" at middle right, extending down through the cigarette holder. It had tears and paper loss in the bottom center of the poster, affecting Balsam and Vilallonga's credits. It had some tears and small paper loss on parts of some folds and some tears and small paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The poster had pretty substantial defects, and you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
