eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 3p0073 MAN WHO LIVED AGAIN pressbook 1937 great images of mad scientist Boris Karloff, very rare! Date Sold 1/17/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 12" x 18" [30 x 46 cm]; 16 pages) (Learn More) The Man Who Changed His Mind (released in the U.S. as "The Man Who Lived Again" and also as "Dr. Maniac"), the 1936 Robert Stevenson English science fiction (sci-fi) mad scientist fantasy romantic horror melodrama ("Karloff as a Love Crazed Scientist!"; about a scientist who finds a way to "copy" people's brains into another person, so that what you know is not lost when you die; he has a rich benefactor and a beautiful young assistant, and when the benefactor withdraws his support, and the assistant rejects him, it sends him over the edge, and he becomes a "mad scientist"!) starring Boris Karloff, Anna Lee, John Loder, Frank Cellier, Lynn Harding, and Donald Calthrop. Note that this movie is mostly forgotten today, but those who have seen it all agree that it is one of Karloff's best non-monster movies of the 1930s, and that it is quite entertaining and worth seeing! Also note that there is an oddity with this movie, which is that all the first release stills have Anna Lee billed as "Anne Lee"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this pressbook, and that was 18 years ago! Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Condition: fair, WITH CUTS. The pressbook has three cuts from the cover that affect the large image of Karloff and one cut from the first interior page. The back cover and inside back cover are numbered "19" and "20", and the last interior page is numbered "14", but we don't think there are missing pages, and that this is just a numbering error (which is greatly reinforced by the fact that we sold another example of this pressbook, and that one also had the same numbering error and also had 16 pages). Obviously, one would much prefer to find an example of this pressbook that did not have the cuts, but it is extremely rare. Learn More about condition grades
