An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Happy Go Lucky, the 1943 Curtis Bernhardt Trinidad tropical island romantic musical comedy (about a gold-digger who goes to Trinidad to pose as a debutante and find a rich husband, and a rich guy exposes her, but tries to set her up with his arch rival; there is a wacky subplot involving a voodoo love potion!) starring Mary Martin, Dick Powell, Betty Hutton, Eddie Bracken, and Rudy Vallee. Note that Paramount was really pushing Mary Martin at this time, and she was given top billing over her much better established male co-stars (Powell, Bracken, and Vallee), and she is the only one pictured on the one-sheet poster. Of course, she would soon become disenchanted with Hollywood and spend most of her time on Broadway! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. We have provided both a high quality scan of the image and also a separate image of how the glass slide looks, but in that digital image, you can really just see the outline of the slide and defects (if any) around the edges. Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass.
