Date Sold 6/28/2015 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 8 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) The Guv'nor (released in the U.S. as "Mister Hobo" and "Mr. Hobo"), the 1935 Milton Rosmer English rags-to-riches comedy ("Here's a new Arliss for you!"; "George Arliss as a lovable vagabond"; about a hobo who is arrested in Paris, but when the police learn his last name is Rothschild, they contact the famous family; it turns out he is no relation, but the family feels sorry for him, and give him 2,000 francs, which he takes and deposits in the bank, and the bank gives him a job, and he winds up president of the bank!) starring George Arliss (in the title role as Francois Rothschild/The Guv'nor), Gene Gerrard, Ivor Barnard, Frank Cellier, and Mary Clare NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. Each has some degree of creases, scuffs, and border defects. The third still on the left in the image has four pieces of tape on the back (not put there for any restoration purposes). The first still on the right in the image has pinholes around the edges.
