An Original Vintage Theatrical Style B Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Gilded Lily, the 1935 Wesley Ruggles romantic love triangle comedy ("One word made her famous! NO!"; a clever story of a secretary who has an affair with an English royal, but she learns he is engaged to someone back home, so she breaks it off, and her reporter friend, who is secretly in love with her, publicizes her as the "NO" girl, who said "no" to royalty!; that makes her famous, and she becomes a famous cabaret singer, and both men want her, but who will she choose?) starring Claudette Colbert, Fred MacMurray, Ray Milland, C. Aubrey Smith, and Edward Craven NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. When we auction slides that have a cardboard holder, we provide a separate image of how the cardboard holder looks, but when we auction slides with the black tape (like this one) we only provide the scan of the glass slide image, because that really is about all there is to see. Condition: fair to good. The back pane of glass has an irregular crack running vertically down through Colbert's face and down the left side of the glass (it is not all that visible from the front of the slide, because it is solely in the back pane). The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Learn More about condition grades
