eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 7t487 SID GRAUMAN signed 3x5 index card '46 can be framed with a repro still! Date Sold 1/22/2012Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed 3" x 5" Index Card (Learn More) Sid Grauman was a legendary theater owner from the 1920s to the 1950s. He owned the famous Grauman's Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard, and came up with the wonderful gimmick of having stars put their hand prints and signatures in cement, which he displayed in front of his theater (and over the years, many stars have been added and removed, as tastes have changed). Sid passed away in 1950 at the age of 70. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Sid Grauman (apparently, Albert did not want to admit that he was getting the autograph for himself, so he asked Sid to sign it to his brother)! The index card could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Note that our consignor purchased this item in a large collection of memorabilia, and he can provide no information about how the autograph was obtained, but we believe it to be genuine. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
