An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

The Kid Comes Back, the 1938 B. Reeves Eason boxing sports romantic melodrama ("A knockout of thrills, laughs and romance!"; "Dynamite in his fists... love on his mind!"; about a prizefighter who needs to fight a boxer to win the championship, but it is complicated by his love of the boxer's sister) starring Wayne Morris, Barton MacLane, June Travis, Max 'Slapsie Maxie' Rosenbloom, Archie Robbins (billed as "James Robbins"), Frank Otto, and Dickie Jones. Note that this movie was filmed in 1936, but was not released until two years later.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some paper loss in the right half of the bottom horizontal fold, and some tears in the vertical fold. It had small paper loss in the middle of the left blank border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
