An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

The Devil's Saddle, the 1927 Albert S. Rogell silent Native American Indian cowboy western ("The West -- with all its adventure, in all its glory -- lives again in this authentic story of pioneer days. Only a star like Ken Maynard could tell it so romantically -- so realistically -- so daringly. No wonder they call him king of all Western stars!"; "From the story by Kenneth Perkins"; about a rancher who is falsely accused of killing a Hopi Indian, and he must catch the real killer, or the Indians will retaliate against his family) starring Ken Maynard, Tarzan, Kathleen Collins, Francis Ford, Will Walling, and Earl Metcalfe. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a light paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (it means that the poster must be handled carefully, as the backing does not give it much added strength, but it is similar to having an unrestored poster, and yet it has been properly preserved). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards.

Condition: good to very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had never been folded. It had faint water staining scattered down the right 5" of the poster, and some down the left 3" of the poster, and a somewhat lesser amount down the center of the poster, where much of the great image is! Other than the faint staining, the poster was in pretty nice condition prior to paperbacking. The person who restored the poster did slight restoration to the faint water staining described above, but did not attempt to touch up every bit of it, do avoid giving the poster a "restored" look (and I agree with that decision). The poster will display well on anyone's wall!
