Date Sold 11/8/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Radar Men from the Moon, the 1952 Fred C. Brannon action science fiction (sci-fi) serial ("Introducing a new character Commando Cody"; "A Republic serial in 12 chapters") starring George Wallace (as Commando Cody), Aline Towne, Roy Barcroft, William Bakewel, Clayton Moore, and Dale Van Sickel. Note that this movie utilized footage from the 1949 serial "King of the Rocket Men" (whose character wore an incredibly similar suit), and also used some footage from 1941's "Adventures of Captain Marvel"! Also note that the lead character from this movie proved so popular that the following year, Republic Pictures gave him his own serial, called "Commando Cody", but in that serial, he was played by Judd Holdren! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster! We have only auctioned ONE in all our years of auctioning and that was seven years ago and it sold for $675!) Condition: good to very good. The poster has darkened somewhat. There are a few tack holes along portions of the blank borders only and there is small separation and paper loss in the lower crossfold. There is a tiny dot of slight discoloration at upper left in the black background (to the left of "From"). Most of these defects affect blank or solid-colored areas and otherwise the poster is in pretty good condition and after a simple linenbacking the poster will look and display quite well!
