Date Sold 10/27/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Boss Rider of Gun Creek, the 1936 Lesley Selander cowboy western ("Original story by E.B. Mann") starring Buck Jones (in a dual role, as two men who are unrelated but look exactly alike!), Muriel Evans, Harvey Clark, Alphonse Ethier, Tom Chatterton, Josef Swickard, Ernest Hilliard, and Silver (Buck Jones' horse!). Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. There are pinholes and small stains around the edges, with some creases in the top blank border. There is a piece of tape on the back of the center of the bottom border, but it was not put there for any restoration purpose. Learn More about condition grades
