He is best known for his work in TV's "The Riflemen" and "Branded", as well as in many movies including: The Big Country, Soylent Green, Airplane II, Old Yeller, Pat and Mike, and Support Your Local Gunfighter. Remarkably, Connors was BOTH a professional baseball player (for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago Cubs) and a professional basketball player (for the Boston Celtics) prior to his long successful movie career!
