What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had slightly diagonal vertical creases scattered down the entire length of the left 7" of the poster, entering the girl's arm and the left side of the lower part of her dress (they start in the top border going through the "AM" of "AMERICANS", and continue down into the "Victo" of "Victory"). Otherwise, the poster had a few small tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and it displays really well from any reasonable viewing distance, and the creases described above are really only noticeable on close inspection.
