An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Tarantula!, the 1955 Jack Arnold Universal giant spider science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy monster horror thriller ("Monster Spider... Crawling terror 100 feet high!"; "Researchers seeking clue!"; "Can anything escape it?"; "Giant spider... deadly accident of science! ...and every second it grows bigger!"; "Towering over cities! Even dynamite can't stop it! Thousands flee its terror!"; "Monster spider 100 feet high!"; "Giant spider strikes! ...crawling terror 100 feet high!"; "Flee city in panic! 100 foot monster spider in attack! Dynamite fails to halt creature!"; "The terror of its dread embrace... the awesome evil of its venom-dripping jaws... threatens all mankind!") starring John Agar, Mara Corday, Leo G. Carroll, Nestor Paiva, Ross Elliott, Clint Eastwood (in an early uncredited role as a jet pilot), and Eddie Parker NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Reynold Brown Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most insert posters were folded twice horizontally right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded example of most inserts, especially from before 1970! Condition: good. The poster was never folded. It was rolled roughly and there are many creases in the top and bottom 6" of the poster and a lesser number in the rest of the poster. There is a slightly diagonal vertical scuff mark to the right of the credits box extending into the waist of the girl. There are some smudges around the edges of the poster and some in background areas. There are pinholes around the edges of the poster. There was a 1/2" tear in the lower left border and someone put a piece of tape on the back of it, and there is a 1" tear in the upper left border that was not restored. Someone put three pieces of tape on the back of the top of the poster and six on the back of the bottom of the poster, but they were not put there for a restoration purpose, and they do not affect the front (it looks like the poster was rolled, and then those nine pieces of tape were used to keep it rolled!). The poster DOES have clear defects, but certainly, a talented restorer could paperback the poster, and the paperbacking process would reduce how noticeable the creases at top and bottom are, and after proper restoration, the poster will look quite nice!
