An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27 1/4" x 37 1/4" [69 x 95 cm]) (Learn More) Amor Salvaje (literally translates to "Savage Love"), the 1950 Juan Orol Mexican romantic crime melodrama (about a dancer and her family visiting Venezuela, where she finds love and murder!) starring Rosa Carmina, Victor Junco, Dalia Iniquez, Jose Pulido, Wolf Ruvinskis, and Juanita Riveron. Note that Rosa Carmina was married to director Juan Orol from 1950 to 1955! It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds. It had tiny pinholes around the edges. It had some ink transfer in the lower left, in the middle of the girl's hair by her shoulder, caused when the poster was folded (you can faintly see the letters of the credits from below the left of the title). Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Any other restorer could touch up the ink transfer described above without re-backing the poster, although it is not very distracting. Learn More about condition grades
