Dozsa Gyorgy 1472 1972, the 1972 Hungarian poster commemorating the purported 500th anniversary of the historical figure's birth. Dozsa was a man at arms who led a peasants' revolt in the 1510s against the kingdom's landed nobility, who had tried to curtail the freedom of the lower class. For this, he was eventually caught, tortured, and executed. The socialist political regime in Hungary at the time printed this propaganda poster in an attempt to show that they were on the side of the working class.
