An Original 1960 Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Ikiru (released in English-speaking countries as "Doomed", "Ikiru ['To Live!']", and "Living"), the 1952 Akira Kurosawa Japanese bureaucratic inaction melodrama ("Kurosawa's brilliant drama of modern Tokyo"; about a man who learns he is terminally ill, and he has no family to speak of, and he sets out to find some meaning to his life, and after several adventures, ends up connecting with a young girl from his office who helps him realize what is important) starring Takashi Shimura, Miki Odagiri, Shinichi Himori, Haruo Tanaka, and Minoru Chiaki. Note that this film had a brief and very limited release in California in 1956 under the "Doomed" title (possibly only at UCLA), and a wider release in the U.S. in 1960 as Ikiru ("To Live!") Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds, with some tiny tears and tiny paper loss on parts of some folds. It had some tiny tears and faint stains in the borders. It had some smudges and scuffs scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
