Schweizerische Armee Meisterschaften (literally translates to "5th Swiss Army Championships"), the 1941 Swiss World War II (WWII) poster announcing a military event to take place from September 4th to the 7th in Basel, Switzerland. Note that this poster features Numa Rick art of a soldier wearing a helmet. Note that during World War I and World War II, Switzerland maintained armed neutrality, and was not invaded by its neighbors. Consequently, it was of considerable interest to belligerent states as the scene for diplomacy, espionage, and commerce, as well as being a safe haven for refugees.
