Artist: Saul Bass Important Added Info: Note that everyone agrees that this poster and "Vertigo" are Saul Bass' two best posters, and it has continued to surprise me that the Vertigo poster regularly sells for much more than this poster! Personally, I like this image just as much (or better) than the image on the Vertigo poster, and I also like this movie just as much (or better) than Vertigo! I think this is an imbalance in the "poster marketplace" that is sure to get corrected over time. I see no reason why one of these posters should sell for less than the other! Condition: good. The poster had 5" of separation in the center of the bottom horizontal fold. Someone put tape on the back of that area and it has slightly darkened the front in that area (see our image). There is 1" of separation at the top crossfold. There was a piece of tape on the back of each corner and it has bled through to the front. There are some minor creases scattered in the poster. The above areas of tape bleed-through are significant, but certainly a talented restorer can back the poster, and after a proper restoration of the bleed-through, the poster will look great!
