Note that director/star Orson Welles was married to Rita Hayworth, and he co-wrote this screenplay as a way for him to star opposite her! Also note that this movie was originally filmed in 1946, but it was not released in the U.S. at that time. It was finally released in France in December 1947, and at that time, U.S. posters were printed with 1947 NSS numbers, but it did not finally open in the U.S. until 1948!
