The Ring and the Man, the 1914 Francis Powers silent politics corruption romantic melodrama ("The famous political romance"; "By Cyrus Townsend Brady"; a wild story of a man who had a criminal past, but who reforms, and changes his name, and becomes a leader for reform in his city, and he runs for mayor, but then a woman from his criminal past threatens to expose him, and he refuses, and his girlfriend, who is the daughter of the corrupt company that runs the city, offers to marry him if he will leave her father alone, but he still refuses to give in, and she realizes how much she loves that he is so principle) starring Bruce McRae (billed as "The eminent dramatic actor"), Robert Broderick, Helen Aubrey, Wellington A. Playter, Violet Horner, Albert Andruss, Charles Douglass, and Albert S. Houston. Note that at this time, Daniel Frohman, head of Famous Players, was buying the rights to many successful Broadway shows, and adapting them, with some of the original actors, into movies. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this herald!
