An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 24 1/2" x 39") (Learn More) Monster and the Girl, the 1941 Stuart Heisler gorilla-gone-bad fantasy ape horror thriller (a great forgotten horror/fantasy movie where a girl is forced into prostitution by a gangster, and her brother tries to rescue her, but he is framed for murder and executed, but then a mad scientist transplants his brain into a gorilla, and the gorilla/brother gets his revenge!) starring Ellen Drew, Robert Paige, Paul Lukas, Joseph Calleia, Onslow Stevens, Rod Cameron, Phillip Terry, George Zucco, and Charles Gemora (as the gorilla!). Note that starting in 1929 and continuing into the 1940s, Charles Gemora played gorillas in many movies, likely because he owned a gorilla suit, and could do a somewhat convincing job portraying a gorilla. Just a few years later, Ray 'Crash' Corrigan would also start playing gorillas, and no doubt they competed for roles in every movie requiring a gorilla! Note that the poster was trimmed with perforated scissors on three sides and now measures 24 1/2" x 39". There are many tiny holes throughout the poster, and some larger ones down the left and right of the image, but fortunately, those larger ones are mostly in solid areas. This poster does have really significant condition issues, but the image is so wonderful (plus I have never seen this poster before!), that it is a certainty that someone will spend the money to get it expertly restored. After proper restoration, this poster will look incredible, and will certainly be a source of conversation where ever it is displayed! Learn More about condition grades
