An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Romanian Movie Poster (measures 19 1/2" x 27 3/4") (Learn More) Mon Oncle (released in the U.S. as "Jacques Tati's My Uncle"), the classic 1958 Jacques Tati French/Italian family relationship slapstick comedy ("Happy is the Day when Hulot Comes to Play!"; "He's back again in another brilliantly funny M. Hulot role"; winner of the Best Foreign Film Academy Award) starring Jacques Tati (as Mr. Hulot), Jean-Pierre Zola, Adrienne Servantie, Lucien Fregis, and Jean Meyet NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster was folded once in each direction and there was darkening along both foldlines and around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
