An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Lady Godiva (released in other English-speaking countries as "Lady Godiva of Coventry"), the 1955 Arthur Lubin historical re-telling of the classic fable ("The first startling story of the world's most famous ride!"; about a Saxon English lady, who, as punishment for her militant views, is forced to ride through her town on a horse completely naked!; this movie gives a fictional account of what led up to that famous ride; unfortunately, due to the standards of 1955, Maureen O'Hara is given so much hair as to be basically clothed!) starring Maureen O'Hara (in the title role as Lady Godiva), George Nader, Victor McLaglen, Rex Reason, Torin Thatcher, Eduard Franz, and Arthur Shields NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: fair. There is light rippling and discoloration throughout the poster from exposure to moisture. There are MANY tears around the edges and throughout the center of the poster that have been repaired with MANY pieces of tape from the back. There are areas of paper loss associated with some of the tears (especially at center right).
