An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) His Glorious Night, the 1929 Lionel Barrymore royal/commoner romantic melodrama ("From the play 'Olympia' by Ferenc Molnar"; "This version arranged and written by Willard Mack"; about a princess who falls in love with a cavalry captain, who is the son of a peasant, and her parents insist she break it off, but the captain blackmails them into allowing the romance to continue) starring John Gilbert, Catherine Dale Owen, Nance O'Neil, Gustav von Seyffertitz, Hedda Hopper, and Doris Hill. Note that Gilbert's poor line delivery for this early sound film negatively affected his career. Also, the only known complete copy if this film is in the Museum of Modern Art.
