North"; about a K-9 German Shepherd in World War II whose human companion is murdered by a Nazi spy; the dog is retired to a hunting lodge, and after the war, three suspicious men show up, and the dog recognizes them and attacks them, and it turns out they are German spies trying to steal nuclear secrets!) starring Charles Russell, Virginia Christine, Gary Gray, John Ridgely, James Burke, Konstantin Shayne, William Stelling, Guy Kingsford, Charles Lang, Deanna Woodruff, and Flame (the German Shepherd dog). Flame is a pretty much forgotten canine star of the 1940s and 1950s (and he was actually the third dog star named "Flame"), but he appeared in 17 movies starting with 1946's "My Dog Shep", and he also starred in "My Dog Rusty", and he appeared in several movies as Shep and as Rusty between 1946 and 1951. In 1952, he made a single appearance in the 1952 TV series "Cowboy G-Men", and then in 1954, he had another single appearance in TV's "The Life of Riley", at which point he retired.
