An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 10 1/2" x 16" [27 x 41 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More)

The American Venus, the 1926 Frank Tuttle silent Atlantic City New Jersey romantic Miss America beauty pageant comedy ("See Fay Lanphier [Miss America] and 20 beautiful girls in a fast-moving-peppy story-") starring Esther Ralston, Ford Sterling, Lawrence Gray, Fay Lanphier (billed as "Miss America [Fay Lanphier] winner of the Atlantic City Beauty Contest"), Louise Brooks, and Douglas Fairbanks Jr. Note that this movie is set at the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and it was made just three years after the pageant began, and the just-crowned Miss America was one of the actresses in the movie! The movie is probably best remembered for the appearance of cult actress Louise Brooks in an early minor role. She was not billed on the posters, but her image DOES appear full-length on the three-sheet! Finally, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist (only two trailers exist).

Important Added Info: Note that this cool newspaper style herald has four different images of Louise Brooks!

Condition: good. The herald is fragile and is separating on the fold across the middle. It was glued to an album page and there are remnants of that on the back.
