An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Yes, My Darling Daughter, the 1939 William Keighley feminist sex-before-marriage romantic screwball comedy ("Mother, aren't you glad you haven't 'Four Daughters' like me?"; "From the stage play by Mark Reed"; about a woman who is an early feminist and who has written stories about female equality, but her views are put to the test when her daughter wants to take an unchaperoned vacation with her boyfriend before he goes off to Europe!) starring Priscilla Lane, Jeffrey Lynn, Roland Young, Fay Bainter, May Robson, Genevieve Tobin, and Ian Hunter. Note that this movie was banned in some parts of the U.S. due to its then extremely racy subject matter (obviously, Warner Bros. was playfully noting this subject matter in their tagline, "Mother, aren't you glad you haven't 'Four Daughters' like me?", which both references Lane's previous hit, and makes it clear that mothers in 1939 didn't want daughters to sleep with their boyfriends before marriage!). Condition: very good. card has darkened slightly (typical of Warner Bros. linen cards of this period), but the card is not at all fragile; creases, a few tiny stains, a few tiny tears, and minor smudges around the edges of the card; some faint smudges in the solid green background area and a few in the white background areas; there is a slight rippling in the top right corner of the card as though it was once lightly water stained, but it is more "felt" than seen Learn More about condition grades
