McLeod college football sports mistaken identity slapstick comedy ("The 4 Marx Brothers"; Groucho is the dean of a college, and he tries to hire two "ringers", professional football players, to help the college win their big game, but he mistakenly hires Harpo and Chico instead, and meanwhile, Zeppo is Groucho's son, who is busy romancing the "college widow", memorably played by Thelma Todd) starring the Marx Brothers (Groucho, Harpo, Chico, and Zeppo), Thelma Todd, David Landau, Nat Pendleton, Robert Greig, Florine McKinney, and Jim Pierce NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The person who trimmed this card trimmed it entirely around the edges of the color image, and it now measures 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" [27 x 27 cm]. The part that is missing is the left area that has "THE 4 MARX BROTHERS IN HORSE FEATHERS", and it measures 2 3/4" x 10 1/2", and also all four borders are missing (they measure 1/4" each). We can supply the purchaser of this card with a high quality scan of the entire missing area, and any restorer could recreate that area off of that scan, or one could simply print the missing area from that scan and attach it to the trimmed card. Condition: fair. The card was heavily trimmed around the image and it now measures 10 1/2" x 10 1/2". There is brown paper tape on the back of all four borders, a faint crease across the bottom 1" of the card, and some faint black stains in the faces of the stars.
