An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

The Hostage, the 1967 Russell S. Doughten Jr. crime suspense thriller ("He shocked you with 'What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?' He terrified you with 'Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte' Now... Henry Farrell gives you his greatest suspense chiller..."; "An Outrageous Kidnapping... And a town is gripped by FEAR!"; about a boy who stows away in a truck with a violent crazy driver and his mild-mannered sidekick, and the boy is in serious danger when they discover he is there) starring Don Kelly (billed as "Don O'Kelly"), Harry Dean Stanton (billed as "Dean Stanton"), John Carradine, Danny Martins, Ron Hagerthy, and Jennifer Lea. Note that this movie was made in 1965 and was released by Crown International in 1967, and then had a wider release in 1968. But movie paper from any of the releases is extremely rare. Also note that this was one of Harry Dean Stanton's better roles after a string of very minor ones over the previous decade. The following year, he would be noticed in a minor role in "Cool Hand Luke", but it would be many years before he would really get noticed and start getting more substantial roles. In this movie he is billed as "Dean Stanton", and he used that billing in his early years, because there was another actor who was billed as "Harry Stanton".
