C204 BLADES OF THE MUSKETEERS three-sheet movie poster '53 Budd Boetticher

An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More)

the 1953 theatrical release of Blades of the Musketeers (released outside the U.S. as "The Three Musketeers"), the 1950 Budd Boetticher made-for-TV swashbuckling action adventure thriller ("Their famous cry rings through tyranny-ridden France... ONE FOR ALL... and ALL FOR ONE!"; "The newest screen version of the unforgettable Alexander Dumas classic!"; produced by Hal Roach) starring Robert Clarke (as D'Artagnan), John Hubbard (as Athos), Mel Archer (as Porthos), Keith Richards (as Aramis), and Marjorie Lord. Note that this 1950 made-for-TV movie was given a theatrical release in 1953. It seems certain that there would be no earlier movie posters for this movie than the ones from 1953, so they are not re-releases in the usual sense, as this was from the first theatrical release. It also seems likely this movie received its theatrical release because of the rise in prominence of director Budd Boetticher at the time.
