An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Shootist, the 1976 Don Siegel cowboy western gunfighter end-of-life melodrama ("He's got to face a gunfight once more to live up to his legend once more To Win Just One More Time."; "Based on the novel by Glendon Swarthout") starring John Wayne (in his final movie role), Lauren Bacall, Ron Howard, ("Guest Stars") James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart), Richard Boone, John Carradine, Scatman Crothers, Richard Lenz, Harry Morgan, Sheree North, and Hugh O'Brian NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Richard Amsel Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had some creases, smudges, and tears in the left and right blank borders, and there were some scuff marks in the left blank border, and one scuff mark under the bottom left of the image area. The image area had creases and some tiny scuffs along the foldlines. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed. The restorer airbrushed much of the white background areas, and you can see signs of that when the poster is tilted to the light, but when viewed head-on from a normal viewing distance, the poster displays well!
