Date Sold 7/5/2022Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Education of Elizabeth, the 1920 Edward Dillon silent rich-man-poor-beautiful-girl romantic love triangle comedy ("Adapted from a story by Roy Horniman"; about a showgirl who goes to a party at the home of a rich young man, and he is called away, and she discovers that she is more attracted to his younger brother; also, the snobby family at first rejects her, but soon is endeared by her homespun charm) starring Billie Burke (billed as "By arrangement with Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr"; in the title role as Elizabeth Banks), Lumsden Hare, Edith Sharpe, Donald Cameron, and Fredric March (as an uncredited extra). Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
