An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Cynthia, the 1947 Robert Z. Leonard romantic sickly-girl-with-overprotective-parents comedy ("You'll fall in love with Cynthia"; "Based on a play by Vina Delmar", which borrows elements of its plots from The Secret Garden) starring Elizabeth Taylor (in her first "grown-up" title role as Cynthia Bishop), George Murphy, S.Z. Sakall, Mary Astor, Gene Lockhart, Spring Byington, James Lydon, and Scotty Beckett. Note that Elizabeth Taylor was just 15 when this movie was made, and just a year before, she was a child actress, but MGM recognized that she had "matured", so they gave her this role, where she, while still a teen, had her first romantic part, including a kiss with boyfriend James Lydon! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: poor to fair. The poster has MUCH paper loss at upper left and some paper loss at center (in the art of Taylor's lips) and someone replaced both areas with paper from another source, and also performed amateur paint restoration at to the art at center (see our image). It is slightly rippled and it has other defects that can be clearly seen in our super-sized image so please bear all of this in mind before placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
