the international theatrical release of The Pied Piper of Hamelin, the 1957 Bretaigne Windust made-for-TV children's musical fantasy fairy-tale ("From the pages of the immortal classics comes this famous story!.."; "Out of the immortal pages of famous international classics comes the best-loved story of all!.."; "Produced in Hollywood U.S.A.") starring Van Johnson (in the title role as the Pied Piper), Claude Rains (as the Mayor of Hamelin), Lori Nelson, Jim Backus and Kay Starr. Note that this made-for-TV movie was given a theatrical release to theaters in 1961, and that movie paper of any sort for this title is extremely rare!
